The RegResir project

RegResir is an abbreviation for Regional Resilience and Sustainable Industrial Restructuring. The project is supported by NRF and has a budget of 5 million NOK. The project is led by Professor Stig-Erik Jakobsen at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. I am a researcher on Work Package 3, which is led by Associate Professor Marte Cecilie Wilhelmsen Solheim from the University of Stavanger.

The project examines how the Covid-19 crisis has affected investments, market orientation, technological development and job creation in resource-based industries in Norway.

A key question in Work Package 3 is how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected companies and industries in three different regions. Through qualitative studies, we obtain information from aquaculture, maritime industry and offshore renewable energy. The project will end in December 2023.
