The course provides an introduction to key concepts, approaches and theoretical approaches in innovation theory. The course covers themes such as (i) the concept of innovation and different models of how innovation activity is carried out, (ii) organization of innovation in firms, (iii) theories of innovation systems, (iv) how innovation affects economic development, (v) innovation and grand social challenges and (vi) characteristics of the 'Norwegian innovation mode'.

Professor Arne Isaksen is responsible for the course, and I provide half of the course; that is, 15 hours of lecturing as well as shared responsibility for censorship.
